Special Relations & Special Appointments Pastor Greetings 2026

The Free Methodist Church in Southern California extends its mission through ministers serving in specialized roles beyond local church leadership. These “Special Appointments” represent our conference in educational institutions, chaplaincy settings, nonprofit organizations, and various ministry contexts that reach beyond traditional congregations.

Special appointments expand our conference’s impact by connecting Free Methodist values and vision to unique ministry opportunities. These appointed ministers serve as bridges between our church communities and the broader world, applying our theological foundations in diverse settings.

Dan Bishop
Greetings to the 2026 Annual Conference. I think of you folks often and remember those special days of gathering together. May you have an even greater new Conference year and remember you are not alone. You are being prayed for, and remembered by those of us who were once more active in the Conference.

Kyoung Shin Chang
Hello everyone God bless all of you. I love you all. Thanks for supporting, connecting and praying for me!

Angie Colclasure
I am sending a heartfelt greeting to my fellow FM Friends! Fond memories at Chapel of Change and Centerpoint in Murrieta. My life statement…”Don’t retire…reFIRE!”

James V. Crawford
We pray for a revival in So Cal lead by believers in the FM Church and a radical transformation of each of the churches throughout the Conference, as well as a renewing of the awareness of God in Azusa Pacific University.

Tom Davis
We have been away from our home conference for some time now. I keep serving the church in discipleship and evangelism with homeless men.

Roger Garza

At 94 years old, I need all the prayers I can get. Thank you for all the prayers that you have prayed unto the Lord.

David Goss
Grace and Peace to you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Get rest. Have fun. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Stay transparent toward your trusted circle. Be open to correction and suggestions. And always be intimate with your Lord and Savior. Nothing is more important than your intimacy with Jesus.

Carmen Hosea
Press on in your call, these are extremely challenging times. Preach of the hope in Christ with power and conviction. You have been called and equipped for such a time as this.

A. Serounian Keir
I love the Free Methodist Church. I love its mission and its faithfulness to the Scriptures. As far as I know, there is only one Free Methodist Church near me -- about 35 miles away in Roanoke. How wonderful it would be to see some Church plants here in southwest Virginia. God bless all of you. I love and miss you all.

Keith Parmelee
I am excited to see the exciting things God has for the Free Methodist Church this coming year.

Serena Oriero
It’s such a gift when we are able to be together as a conference. I’m especially grateful for the way the FMCSC has created space for all of us, youth and adults, laity, and elders, to listen to one another and move forward together. There is something really powerful about choosing to be on mission together, even when it takes intention and humility to get there.

As we gather under this theme of Sent Together, I know many of us are coming in carrying a lot, both the joy and the weight of ministry. I’m grateful that we don’t do this alone. We get to walk this out together, across generations and as one body.

Looking forward to being with you all!

Don Rogers
I am grateful for our Conference and for the encouragement that I have received from so many of you and our churches over these past 30 years of ministry with Empowering Lives International. Thousands of people have come to Christ and gained skills to rush poverty over the years across East Africa because of our partnership and I look forward to all God has in store.

V. Eugene Smith
Praise God for the blessing of being released for ministry outside of the denomination. God has graciously continued to allow freedom to preach the Good News of Christ to thousands of young Marine recruits over this past year. Our team of 70 volunteers from 3 counties provide prayer, encouragement, the gospel and basics of the Christian life teaching weekly to Marine recruits. Bless you for continuing to carry the gospel throughout the world! Gene

Richard Sorenson
Thankful for the family of God in the FMCSC. Stay the course!

Denny Wayman
I have great respect for all pastors and leaders, especially in this day of great opportunity and oppression. I pray that our conference will navigate the national church’s attempt to reorganize the annual conference and I pray for our new bishop and his input in this process. May God bless each person, clergy and laity during this new conference year.

Ricci Wojtkiewicz
Blessings in the Name of Our Lord Jesus. I am so thankful to be a part of my FMC family. I have appreciated prayers through my health trials but also learning of growth and transitions of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I have been so overjoyed in my journey to just show love and compassion to my neighbors, health care workers and community. Let your lights shine. Much love and continued prayers.

Karl Wolfe
While the years and distance have separated me from the Annual Conference (increasingly, many pastors and delegates are women and men I have not had the opportunity to meet), I am deeply thankful for the connection with the FMCSC. Blessings as you continue to serve Christ and His kingdom
